RECIPES: Carrot Cake Treats, Peanut Butter, Banana, and Carob Treats, and Peanut Butter Oat Biscuits

1. Carrot Cake Treats

Makes 30 treats!

Ingredients

• ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1 tablespoon unsweetened smooth peanut butter, room temperature
• 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil
• 1 large egg
• ½ cup oat flour
• ¼ cup shredded carrots

Instructions

1. Preheat the pet treat maker.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the applesauce, peanut butter. flaxseed oil, and egg. Whisk in the oat flour until combined. Fold in the shredded carrots.

3. When green light turns on, open the pet treat maker. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each bottom tray mold with 1 teaspoon of batter. Close the lid.

4. Bake for 5 minutes. Transfer the treats from the unit to a wire rack to cool completely.

5. Repeat with the remaining batter.

2. Peanut Butter, Banana, and Carob Treats

Makes 40 treats!

Ingredients

• 1 ripe banana, mashed
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened smooth peanut butter, room temperature

• 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil
• 1 large egg

• ½ cup oat flour

• 2 tablespoons carob powder

Instructions

1. Preheat the pet treat maker.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the banana, peanut butter, flaxseed oil, and egg. Whisk in the oat flour and carob powder until combined.

3. When green light turns on, open the pet treat maker. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill the bottom tray molds with 1 teaspoon of batter. Close the lid.

4. Bake for 5 minutes. Transfer the treats from the unit to a wire rack to cool completely.

5. Repeat with the remaining batter.

3. Peanut Butter Oat Biscuits

Makes about 54 treats!

Ingredients

• ½ cup chicken broth

• 1 large egg

• ¼ cup unsweetened smooth peanut butter, room temperature

• ½ cup rolled oats

• 1 cup whole-wheat flour

Instructions

1. Preheat the pet treat maker.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and egg. Whisk in the peanut butter, about 1 tablespoon at a time. Whisk in the rolled oats and then the flour until combined.

3. When green light turns on, open the pet treat maker. Shape 1 teaspoon of the dough into a small log and place in one of the bottom tray molds. Repeat to fill the remaining molds. Close the lid.

4. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes. The more time baked, the harder the treat. Transfer the treats from the unit to a wire rack to cool completely.

5. Repeat with the remaining dough.
