Here at A.W. Brown's we are proudly Employee Owned and looking for a Retail Associate to join our front end team. Customer service is our number one priority and our sales associates have the most interactive contact with customers as they purchase their goods at Point of Sale (POS).
We are hiring two (2) candidates—one PART-TIME, one FULL-TIME.
Sales associates are responsible for providing value-added customer service by offering courteous and knowledgeable assistance. The Retail Associate will operate register terminals, merchandise products, and help to maintain a clean and organized store.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance: Project a helpful, friendly image to all customers at all times. Inform customers of sales and special events or promotions. Offer advice and answer questions to help customers find what they are looking for. Refer customers to other employees for further assistance as needed. Assist customers with carry-out requests.
- Operate the POS terminal in a professional, knowledgeable and accurate manner.
- Keep cash drawer organized and accurate by following the procedures outlined in the "Cashier Policy Manual" and paying close attention to the detail of each transaction.
- Meet all merchandising needs requested by managers including, but not limited to:
- Bagging of seed, feed or other product.
- Merchandising, labeling, and assembly of store products.
- Stocking items on shelves.
- Dress appropriately at all times following the dress code policy and always wear name tag and uniform issued items when on duty.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-end, displays and store aisles.
- Understand and follow all store policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience with other POS operations, computers, or customer service.
- Must be friendly, team-oriented and enjoy working with customers and other employees.
- Must demonstrate initiative, reliability and professionalism at all times.
- Must have weekday afternoon availability & weekend availability.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet, oftentimes for the duration of the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects for scanning, merchandising and customer assistance purposes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
