Retail Manager, Front End
Here at A.W. Brown we are now proudly Employee Owned and looking for a Retail Manager to lead our front end team of sales associates. Customer service is our number one priority and our sales associates have the most interactive contact with customers as they purchase their goods at Point of Sale (POS). Sales associates are responsible for providing value-added customer service by offering courteous and knowledgeable assistance. In addition to managing this team, the Retail Manager will operate register terminals, merchandise products, and help to maintain a clean and organized store.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of Front-End Sales Team: lead team of sales associates and ensure they provide excellent customer service, handle all scheduling of associates while maintaining labor budgets for the department, communicate relevant sales information and policy changes to team, train new team members, manage performance of the Front-End team.
• Keep front end/register area organized, clean and running efficiently.
• Along with other store managers, cover sections of the day as “Manager on Duty” and support the needs of all staff on the floor. After 3-6 months of employment, assuming excellent performance, manager will become a key holder.
• Lead team by example to ensure excellent customer service according to AWB standards.
• Operate the POS terminal in a professional, knowledgeable and accurate manner. Responsible for making sure drawers are always properly counted and organized.
• Find natural upselling opportunities to drive up the average sale.
• Coordinate with buyers to ensure proper merchandising, labeling, and assembly of store product and stocking items on shelves.
• Understand and follow all store policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of three years experience with POS operations, computers, or customer service. Experience with Epicor Eagle is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a fast-paced customer focused environment.
• Must be friendly, team-oriented and enjoy working with customers and other employees.
• Must demonstrate initiative, reliability and professionalism at all times.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet, oftentimes for the duration of the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects for scanning, merchandising and customer assistance purposes.
