Team Lead

PURPOSE & SCOPE

Here at A.W. Brown's we are now proudly Employee Owned and looking for a Team Lead for our front end team. Customer service is our number one priority and our sales associates have the most interactive contact with customers as they purchase their goods at Point of Sale (POS). Sales associates are responsible for providing value-added customer service by offering courteous and knowledgeable assistance. In addition to managing this team, the Retail Manager will operate register terminals, merchandise products, and help to maintain a clean and organized store. Lawn & garden or pet / small animal knowledge is a big plus!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Management of Sales Team: Help lead team of sales associates and ensure they provide excellent customer service.

- Operate the POS terminal in a professional, knowledgeable and accurate manner.

- Keep cash drawer organized and accurate by following the procedures outlined in the “Cashier Policy Manual” and paying close attention to the detail of each transaction.

- Meet all merchandising needs requested by managers including, but not limited to: Bagging of seed, feed or other product.

- Merchandising, labeling, and assembly of store products. Stocking items on shelves.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-end, displays and store aisles.

- Understand and follow all store policies and procedures.

- Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience with other POS operations (experience with Epicor Eagle a plus!) and customer service.
